Including Your Kids Into Your Engagement Session

Should you include your kids into your engagement session? I say DO IT!!! Your kids are part of your family so including them in your portraits is huge!! Make sure you tell your photographer a head of time that you will be bringing your kids, how many you have, and their ages. Knowing this in advance can help the photographer plan for your portraits in advance!

This sweet couple included their son in their engagement portraits and they turned out beautifully!! You can see the love that they have for one another as well as the love they have for their son. Their engagement session took place at Fairhope Pier which is one of my favorite places to shoot! It has beaches and grassy areas which allow for multiple different looks. When shooting in an area like this, make sure to bring more than one outfit so that you can change when the background and scenery changes. It makes your gallery have a ton of more options!

Quick Tip: Make sure to bring someone who can look after your kid(s) when you are taking pictures that do not include them (i.e. couples photos).
