Fort Pickens Engagement Photos | Madison + Chris

Fort Pickens in Pensacola made the perfect backdrop for this engagement session. Between the unique brick textures, historic walls, and those beautiful arches, the architecture gave us so much variety to work with—and made the entire session feel timeless and creative.

This couple was so much fun to photograph. From the beginning, I knew I wanted to focus less on stiff poses and more on capturing them as they really are together—playful, relaxed, and completely at ease with each other. We mixed in movement, laughter, and natural moments that really showed off their connection.

The arches inside the fort framed them beautifully, and the soft natural light filtering in created the dreamiest atmosphere. It was the kind of session where everything just clicked—the setting, the couple, and the energy.

I love when engagement photos feel more like a date than a photoshoot, and this one definitely had that vibe. These two were up for anything and completely leaned into the experience, which always makes for the best kind of gallery.
