Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church Wedding | Grace + Matthew
This wedding was such a joy to capture, and one I’ll never forget—it was my very first Greek Orthodox wedding, and I loved getting to experience and learn about the beautiful traditions throughout the day.
The ceremony took place at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, a setting that felt both sacred and timeless. The rituals, symbolism, and the sense of community made the whole experience so meaningful, and it was an honor to document each moment.
Afterward, we stepped into the sunshine and headed to Bienville Square for formal portraits. Surrounded by the greenery of the park and bright, colorful florals in hand, the wedding party truly popped against the downtown backdrop. The cheerful colors carried perfectly into the rest of the celebration.
The reception began with the sweetest first dance between the bride and groom before the party really kicked off. Guests filled the dance floor, and by the end of the night, everyone was joining in on traditional Greek dancing—a joyful, energetic way to end an already incredible day.
From start to finish, this wedding was full of love, color, and culture, and it was such a privilege to be there to capture it all.
