Rustic Rainy Day Church and Barn Wedding

This sweet young couple were such a joy to photography. The sky cleared up just in time for pictures and the bride was so happy she did a little happy dance along with everyone else in the bridal party and me!! They got married at their home church in Robertsdale and I honestly don’t think there could have been a more perfect spot for these two to say “I do”!

Maddi’s girls were so fun and supportive while Colbey’s guys were keeping him laughing all morning! They both shared a special moment of prayer with their friends right before the ceremony started that had many in tears. This couple really wanted God’s love to shine through on their wedding day and I think they achieved that beautifully!

They wanted to keep their wedding day traditional, so they decided not to see each other until the aisle moment. Maddi was in tears and Colbey was right there with her! As much as I love first looks before the ceremony, I could not have imagined their wedding day going any other way! It was perfect for them!!

When scrolling through the photos, you’ll see an antique Chevy which was something that the groom’s dad and grandfather fixed up together. Maddi almost cried seeing the personalized licenses plates that they had put on for the wedding day. To top off this sweet moment, Colbey’s grandfather wore a chauffeur’s tux and drove the Chevy as the couple’s get away car at the end of the night.

Their reception was in such a beautiful, unique space! There was plenty of tables and seating everywhere along with cozy couches and rustic decorations. I loved looking at all the interesting items in the barn. One thing the bride told me she was most excited about was the hot chocolate bar. Let me tell you, it did not disappoint! I’m a huge hot coca fan, so I really loved this sweet treat!

To end the night, Maddi and Colbey took a minute to themselves to share one final dance together. It gave them a chance to take in the day while their guests had time to line up and prepare for their big sparkler exit!
