Including Your Dog In Your Engagement Photos
I get asked all the time, “Can we bring our dog to our photoshoot"?” My answers is and always will be - YES!!
The actual decision is up to you, but I will always welcome your dog. SHOULD you bring your dog to the photoshoot is a completely different question and only one that you can answer! I don’t know your dog’s temperament or how well behaved they are, but you do! Do you think your sweet pup will be able to obey certain commands, such as sit and stay? If they struggle with this, we would need to take a more candid approach to your doggy being in the photos.
Tips to consider that can really help when bringing your dog:
Bring someone who can handle the dog while you are having photos taken that don’t include your pup.
Pack some treats or a favorite toy that can help me grab your dog’s attention.
If your dog must stay on a leash to obey, bring an aesthetically pleasing one so it doesn’t stand out in the photos!
Practice some commands at home (like sit and stay) to prep your dog.
Consider getting your dog groomed before the session so they are looking their best!
