Micah reached out to me a month before her wedding and I am SO happy that she did!! Micah and Todd’s wedding day was absolutely beautiful at the Steelwood Country Club in Loxely, AL. I had photographed a wedding at this venue before while second shooting, but I had never been the lead photographer at this gorgeous venue so I was super happy that I still had their date available!!

Micah spent the morning of her wedding sharing the cutest first looks with so many people and each one had such an amazing reaction! She started off with a bridesmaid dress reveal which had some girls in tears! Something that she asked that I had never photographed before was a first look with the Groom’s parents!! I LOVED IT!!! Why is this not more of a thing?

Then, Micah shared a teary first look with her dad who could not stop saying, “You look so beautiful!” You could see how much he loved his daughter and how proud he is of the woman that she has become! Next, Micah did a first look with the GROOMSMEN!! It was so fun! They all had such a great reaction and were so happy for their best friend getting to marry such a stunning bride!

Lastly, Micah and Todd saw each other for the first time at the Steelwood Country Club chapel. This little chapel is such a romantic, stunning spot for a first look!

Micah and Todd are so sweet together!! They were so ready to see one another on their wedding day and the nerves instantly went away when they did. Todd was such a trouper with participating in all the fun (and what feel very awkward sometimes) poses! He was NOT a fan of the hair smell which is personally one of my favorites, but he still went along with it and we were able to capture beautiful wedding day memories for them!

Micah and Todd’s wedding ceremony space was beautifully decorated! The flowers were perfect with the surrounding nature. When Micah walked down the steps and into the aisle, her dad instantly welled up with tears. It had everyone in the crowd emotional! Their ceremony was short and sweet which is just how I like them! They said their vows, exchanged rings, and sealed it with a kiss!

The reception space at the Steelwood Country Club is perfect because it has options for inside and outside seating. With the heat of the summer, I definitely chose to hang out inside most of the night! They decorated the space with beautiful flowers and greenery and their delicious cake was a show stopped in the middle of the venue. Micah and Todd shared a fun first dance together! Todd twirled and dipped Micah which always makes for a fun time!!

Then, Micah shared the sweetest dance with her dad who was holding her tight the whole time with tears in his eyes. Todd then took over the dance floor with his mom as she took in the fact that her son was now a married man! Mother and son dances get me emotional EVERY TIME since having Ian! I picture us out there and then the tears start flowing!

I was so happy that Micah and Todd were willing to sneak away for a few bride and groom sunset portraits! The way the golden sunlight reflected off the lake was too perfect for me to resist!!
