Spring weddings on the Gulf Coast are always beautiful, but this April wedding at The Grand Hotel in Fairhope, Alabama was truly unforgettable. From the vibrant floral design to the heartfelt ceremony and elegant waterfront reception, every detail reflected the couple's joyful personalities and timeless style.

As a wedding photographer, I love documenting the details that make each celebration unique, and this wedding was full of them from beginning to end.

One of my favorite parts of the day was photographing all of the carefully chosen wedding details before the festivities began. Every element was beautifully curated, but the florals were undoubtedly the stars of the show. Designed in a stunning palette of bright pinks, blues, yellows, peaches, and whites, the arrangements were displayed in classic blue ginger jars that created an elegant, timeless look. The vibrant flowers paired with the blue-and-white chinoiserie-inspired décor made every table and ceremony space feel like a work of art.

From the reception tables to the ceremony arrangements, every floral installation added color, texture, and personality to the day while perfectly complementing the classic Southern charm of The Grand Hotel.

The ceremony felt incredibly personal and centered on what mattered most—their commitment to one another and the loved ones gathered to witness it.

One of the sweetest moments happened just after they were pronounced husband and wife. As they walked back down the aisle together, the groom gently lifted the bride's hand and kissed it, bringing huge smiles to both of their faces. It was such a simple gesture, but one that perfectly reflected the excitement and love they shared in those first moments as newlyweds.

After family portraits and couples portraits around the beautiful grounds of The Grand Hotel, guests made their way to the reception overlooking the bay. As the sun began to set, the reception space glowed with soft golden light, highlighting the colorful floral centerpieces and elegant tablescapes. Every detail came together beautifully, creating an atmosphere that felt both sophisticated and welcoming.

The reception was filled with wonderful food, heartfelt toasts, laughter, and dancing, but the thoughtful details didn't stop there.

Later in the evening, guests were surprised with custom French macarons from Sukar Bakes, beautifully displayed as a late-night treat. Not only were they delicious, but they were also the perfect finishing touch to an already unforgettable celebration. It's always fun to photograph unique reception details like these because they help tell the complete story of the wedding day.

The Grand Hotel continues to be one of my favorite wedding venues in Fairhope. Between its breathtaking waterfront views, iconic oak trees, beautifully maintained grounds, and endless portrait locations, it provides an incredible setting for couples looking for a timeless Gulf Coast wedding.
