Kaitlyn + Kaegan’s Wedding

These two are such a fun couple! They are both really laid back and relaxed which is so nice on a wedding day! So many small things can mess up or not go as planned and not letting that get to you or stress you out is so important! The only important thing on your wedding day is you and your fiance vowing to kive and love each other forever.

I was so blessed to shoot their wedding in Birmingham, Alabama. I loved getting to travel and stay in Birmingham for the weekend with my husband and son. During this crazy time in our world, a weekend getaway was much needed! It helped me reset and relax while doing what I love - spending time with my family, exploring, and photographing weddings.

I love shooting the bridal details! Brides spend months planning every little detail and they can often get overlooked or forgotten. Dedicating time in the beginning of the wedding day to shoot these details gives me time to warm up and capture the small things so they will never be forgotten. Kaitlyn’s “something borrowed” and “something blue” was so special to her and her family. The blue ring in the pictures above was hand-painted by her great grandmother!! Isn’t that so cool?

Kaitlyn and Kaegan chose such a unique venue. They got married at The Leaf & Petal at the Summit and it was absolutely beautiful!! The greenhouse area is where they had their ceremony and reception. The space was full of beautiful greenery that made decorating a breeze on their special day.

Instead of using the typical white plastic chairs that you can rent for a wedding, they were able to use unique wooden chairs that the venue supplied. These chairs added some extra dazzle to their wedding day set up.

Thank you so much Kaitlyn and Kaegan for letting me play such a crucial role in your wedding day! I had a blast spending time with you both while capturing every single detail of your wedding day. From the hand-painted something borrowed and blue ring to the beautiful greenery, and of course the love you two share!!
