Looking at my own wedding photos makes me re-live one of the best days of my life! I hope that all my clients feel the exact same way when they look at the images of their wedding that I took. Photographs are one of the only physical things that last after a wedding! The flowers die, the extra food is thrown out (or eaten as leftovers), the music fades, and the decorations get taken down and sold. However, the photos last a lifetime! They will be cherished now and years from now by children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

I love knowing that my job lets me create these special memories for others!

Now on to my wedding: we did things a little different than most. Yes, I got the big beautiful dress and we had the most supportive, loving bridal party, but we only invited our families to the ceremony and friends joined us later for the reception. This was a compromise we made after I expressed my desire to elope to some beautiful mountainside with just our immediate family and his desire to have a big wedding with everyone that loves us in attendance. Ultimately, our wedding day was the perfect mix of intimate and exciting!

Being a wedding photographer while I was engaged, it made the wedding planning process much easier for me! I knew vendors that I wanted to work with and things that I did and did not want. I ended up having the most beautiful wedding flowers everywhere! The bouquet, table decorations, and ceremony arbor was exactly how I dreamed it would be. A plus to a December wedding was that our venue was beautifully decorated for Christmas (my favorite time of the year!) We also hired a live wedding painter which was one of the best decisions ever!! I love having our wedding painting hanging up in the kitchen visible every day!
